Clinical Trial Design

I am interested in developing innovative early-phase oncology designs that use limited information to assign patients to the most appropriate dose. Early-phase clinical trials naturally lend themselves to a Bayesian framework because, as data accumulate, our understanding of the dose–toxicity relationship is continually updated.

Public Health

I am passionate about applying my expertise as a statistician to collaborate with public health experts and improve public health outcomes. My professional service has included reviewing manuscripts for BMC Infectious Diseases, and I am interested in future collaborations involving study design, data analysis, and the interpretation of public health research.

Quantitative Linguistics

My interest in quantitative linguistics grew through learning Spanish, and I plan to continue studying additional languages. Potential areas of future research include:

  1. Identifying learning methods that provide the strongest long-term language retention.
  2. Developing quantitative approaches for measuring similarity among languages.
  3. Analyzing the growth, decline, and preservation of linguistic diversity.
